You can use a mouse or pointing device to move around and explore the map. All clicks
(double, left, middle,
right) of a standard 2-button wheel mouse are supported. See
details below for what each button does.

Re-center the map
|
Navigation element
|
Located in the upper left corner of the map display. Click and hold on the Navigation
image in the direction you want to re-center the map. You can click on any spot
on the Navigation image to fine-tune the movement.
|
Pan tool
|
Click on the Pan tool in the Toolbar, then click
and drag the map to move it.
|
Right click
|
|
Right click on the map:
|
|
Left click "Center Map" to re-center the map where you clicked.
|
|
Middle click
|
Click the mouse wheel on the map to show the navigator image.
Move the mouse away from the navigator image to pan the map in the direction the
cursor is located. The farther the mouse is moved away from the image, the faster
the map will pan.

Zoom in
|
Double click mouse
|
Double click on the map: the map will zoom in and re-center where you double-clicked.
|
Mouse wheel
|
Scroll the mouse wheel forward or up to zoom in. The map zooms by about 50 percent
in width and height with every wheel click.
|
Shift + Left mouse
|
Hold the Shift key down, then hold the left mouse button down and drag to
draw a rectangle. The map will zoom in to the area of the rectangle.

Zoom in tool
|
Click on the zoom-in tool in the Toolbar, then
- Click once on the map: the map will zoom in and re-center the map where you click;
OR
- Click and drag to draw a rectangle on the map: the map will zoom in to the area
of the rectangle.

Zoom-level




|
Click the plus button on the zoom level control to zoom in. The tics
between the plus and minus buttons may be clicked to zoom to a specific scale.

Right click
|
Right click on the map and left click "Zoom to Street" or "Zoom to Parcel" to center
the map where you clicked at close levels.

Zoom out
|
Mouse wheel
|
Scroll the mouse wheel backward or down to zoom out. Every click of the wheel zooms
the width and height of the map by about 50 percent.

Ctrl + Left mouse
|
Hold the Ctrl key down and click the left mouse button to zoom out. You can
also hold the left mouse button down and drag to draw a rectangle. The map will
zoom out so that the current map extent fits into the rectangle drawn. The smaller
the rectangle, the more the map zooms out.

Overview map
|
Hover over the lower right corner of the yellow square in the Overview map until
diagonal arrows appear (click image to left for better picture). Drag the yellow
square bigger to Zoom out (or smaller to Zoom in).

Zoom-level



|
Click the minus button on the zoom level control to zoom out. Tics
between the plus and minus buttons are available to zoom to a specific scale.

Right click
|
Right click on the map and left click "Zoom Out" or "Zoom to City" to re-center
the map where you clicked.

|
Zoom in or out to full map
|
Zoom full extent
|
Click on the full extent image in the Toolbar.
The map will zoom all the way out to the full map extent.

Step forward in extent history
|
Right click
|
Right click on the map and click "Forward" to return to the extent (zoom level and
area) that was viewed prior to clicking the Back button in the
Toolbar.
